We stayed here in Feb 2025 and got a very good deal of around $48 (including $5 resort fee). The rooms are basic, motel style rooms but clean, quiet, safe, and reasonably well for a short stay with ample parking. The hotel is along the Colorado River and walking distance to all the other Casinos as well. There is nothing fancy about this hotel/casino but it's a good bang for your buck.

The staff is fantastic. Michelle who is THE casino host brilliant and goes above and beyond to reward her players. 0nly a couple of issues. One if you're a video poker player anymore, it's pretty much common around every casino, in that the pay tables are pretty brutal. 8-5 Double Double is best to be found, and the basic rooms have no Fridge or Microwave.

I've never stayed in the hotel but it sounds like the rooms are decent and clean. Service can be sketchy in the casino. The riverfront bar is nice. Food choices are abundant. I prefer other places personally but might be worth checking out to compare.

This casino is one of my favorite! It's so small but we always have the best time when we play here!! Never stayed in their rooms so I'm not sure how they are but always a good time in the casino

So much hair in the bed I went and bought a bed set at the dollar store. It’s be nice if they washed the sheets after each guest instead of just making the bed..smelled like smoke but says non smoking room…but, it was cheap, So kind of expected it. Can’t make a profit doing laundry at that rate… not bad if you like a hole in the wall type place. Next time I’ll try the Aquarius.

I stayed for 3 weeks. No complaints. I checked out and was charged twice. Can't get an answer from staff. My deposit not refunded. I'm out $1000 this month. I'm 70 on a fixed income. My bank is disputing the charge. I loved my stay but never again.

I don't usually post however in this case I think it's necessary. We visit there often and was impressed with the Casino Ambassador when I shared the experience at check in. That being said she gloated on the fact that at The New Pioneer they were a family/team. I guess that only goes that far because I had a pretty bad fall that night going into their lounge, let me add the lights were completely out for some reason, maybe band request and the 2 narrow steps going down had no lighting on them. I missed the second one resulting in hard fall leaving my ligament in my ankle torn in half (no alcohol involved). The Ambassador ultimately told me to ice it. The Manager of Security, James was completely rude and have thus far after several conversations have gotten nowhere with any help as far as insurance picking this up. Let me add the Casino Ambassador admitted in writing the lights in stairs were out but have since fixed them. So as far as "family " I guess that dosent include the patrons that spend money to make their paycheck.

Pillows were ok, not great, but ok.
Rooms were clean and well maintained.
Casino is separated from the rooms, which, in my opinion, was nice.
And rooms were affordable, even on a strict budget.
