We initially stayed at Foothills West with a seven day reservation (on our way to somewhere else in state) that turned into a month during recovery time after an ATV accident our first day after arrival with riders we just met from the park. Not their fault in any way, just a quirky thing that tipped us over and resulted in an injury. I mention this only because it illustrates how welcoming residents were to strangers who just came in. Within a couple of hours of arriving, we'd already had interactions with immediate neighbors and one, seeing our ATV with us, told us about the ride the next morning and made introductions. Some residents even checked on me daily during recovery. Then our stay extended again to a few months, and we returned this following year for several months. We are not Thousand Trails members, and we experienced nothing but great hospitality. If you are open to making new friends, smile and say hi, go to the club house for one of the many activities, say "hi, we're new", and without doubt you will be welcomed. Sites are spacious and neat, rules are enforced for the good of all in this relatively small park nested in a neighborhood close to everything you could need. I don't use the pool or restrooms, but know many that do and they are clean and well kept.

This is a well tended and attractive park, but my wife and I expected better amenities, especially considering the cost. The biggest disappointment is that there is no WiFi service, even though the online information suggests there is. Also, no cable TV service is provided. This resort needs to get into the 21st century. The resorts in Yuma offer much better experiences for lower prices.

Great staff led by Manager Vivian make this a welcoming place. We came for 2 nights and stayed a week. Despite being very full, Vivian managed to get us the extra days, even staying in the same space. The facilities are among the best we've seen anywhere and this is our third trip across the U.S. in the winter. We almost never see a heated pool and hot tub! And the weather is so good here in Casa Grande that we used them every day. Holidays here are special events with everyday perks like water aerobics and a very well set up common room. There are pool tables, TVs, books, puzzles and movies. We had one of the 4 pull through sites and they are all paved and flat with picnic tables. It is about 3 miles off Route 10 and very quiet. Most of the park is seasonal and we can certainly see why. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We'd spend the winter here too!

The size of this park is perfect for us as we prefer the small town feel where everyone looks out for each other. We also appreciate the location, as it's close enough to the grocery store (4 miles) yet far enough away from Interstate 10 that we don't usually hear the trucks. |The staff this year is doing a great job. They are always helpful and friendly. It seems that they really enjoy being here as much as we do.|We enjoyed the noticeably great job the new maintenance man was doing to keep our park looking tip top. The new tin covered recycle bin looks great. |We hope they will water the palm trees during a dry year because it's a big reason we stick with our site. |Speaking of water, the infrastructure is old so they are working on replacing the water and septic tanks, but they do need to continue to do repairs, so we are sometimes inconvenienced by last minute water line breaks. We also are not always receiving our text messages about said down times or even when the water is turned back on. I was told that their system randomly kicks people out of the chain, so they have to be told to add us back in.|While we do feel safe here, the threat of theft has been mentioned a few times, which has caused us to wonder if we might feel safer if they installed a gate.|We would prefer to have WIFI offered at the campground for a fee rather than trying to purchase our own. So far, we've had 2 different providers (Aire Beam & CGI) and are really not happy with either one as it's hard to use our computers. But, the WIFI the park has goes down as well so I'm not sure if there is an answer. |The laundry facility is small with 6 washers & 6 dryers (older machines) which frequently break down. |The pool is smaller but usually accommodates those who use it. It's wonderful that it's heated as there are days that are borderline warm enough. When we get cold in the pool, we are able to warm up in the hot tub.|Our biggest request for what we'd like to see is to have the fencing behind site 16 repaired. It has some make-shift lattice covering a hole in the fence. I'm not sure why they didn't finish the brick wall, but that would also be a huge plus because there is a dusty well travelled road behind us.|I'd like to see the door on the north end of the park be repaired. |It has a break in one of the boards as if someone kicked it in.

We recently came down to foothills West RV resort to spend the winter. The facility is amazing, the staff are friendly and accommodating and work to exceed expectations. The residents are the real gem at this RV resort and community. Everyone we've met has welcomed us and made us feel like part of an extended family. We have had our neighbors jump in and help us when needed and it's truly the best place for a long stay or a few nights off the road of for the season. The park is very quiet and away from the beaten path but also close to everything Casa Grande has to offer. To sum it up, we love it!

My first 55 and over campground. I felt like we would feel unwelcome because I’m only 56 and my partner is younger, but the residents were very friendly and welcoming. The place was immaculate and I found out they are currently without a maintenance person. If it looks this wood without a maintenance person, I can’t imagine how it would look normally.
