There's a variety of camping options - RV w/ hookup, freestanding tent, & cabin. I always go for the cabin. Grounds are always well maintained, bathrooms & showers are always clean & reasonably warm. There's a communal outdoor sink for camp meal cleanup. There's an ice machine & a water dispenser available 24/7, and essential sundries for sale in the office. It's easy to make acquaintance with neighboring campers, or easy enough to ignore them. Staff members are friendly & easy to find, as they make regular rounds of the whole park. The park location gets you near Goldfield Ghost Town & Arizona Renaissance Festival while still being a short drive to Apache Junction & Mesa businesses.

It's okay. Not great, not terrible, just okay. It is definitely overpriced. There's a weird mix of people that stay there- some are really well off and act it, some are struggling and act it. You can tell if you read some of these reviews who is who. I never felt unsafe or anything like that, but I wouldn't say it was fancy there other than the price. The lots are very undeveloped, not very level, larger gravel. Unless you have an rv with working autolevel, you will probably be tilted without some leveling blocks. The pool and hot tub aren't bad but they need to be cleaned more often and rules about diving and child supervision should be better enforced. The clubhouse is always locked so that's useless. The laundry dryers are a joke, but the washers are fine. The public bathrooms and showers are cramped and sometimes clean. Overall, okay but not great.

I have no idea why the other reviews say there's rude people here. They are all really kind that just care about the rules. There's always someone driving a golf cart around the community and feels safe here.
The property does have older buildings (80’s probably). It’s clean its neat and everything works. No issues the few times we have stayed here with neighbors or the surrounding neighborhood. Great hot showers!

Out of all of the RV parks in Phoenix area that are generally…unsafe feeling or the trailers/RVs are falling apart.. Not here!

A very nice KOA. Clean and neatly kept, roomy pull through sites. Raked gravel. Pedestal and utilities in good condition. Bathroom is old but very clean and we'll maintained. Great AT&T cell service. I'll stay here again. $78 for my site.

Small RV park. Well managed & maintained. Staffs are friendly & helpful. RV Spaces are wide with road leading to it being wide as well. It is clean even the dog park. Only one tourist attraction that we would recommend & that is the Apache Trail to Tortilla Flats Stagecoach for good food & excellent gelato.

The workers here are great and work really hard to make sure that the park looks its best! We were here for 6 nights during the week of Thanksgiving and it was filled with campers, but it was for the most part quiet and people kept to themselves. The reason why I am giving two stars is because I feel like the location is maybe a little sketchy, The people next to us were smoking marijuana (which I understand is legal in Arizona, but I’m not a fan of it and I know others aren’t as well so I want to add that in my review). The bigger issue was that there were way too many dogs off leash. We have three small dogs and twice while we were walking them they were attacked by larger dogs that were either not tied up or broke away from being tied up. It was a very scary experience both times. There were many other dogs that were off leash, but stayed in their site (thank goodness!). I always appreciate KOA because they allow us to bring our three dogs where most places have a limit of two; however, big dogs unleashed are just too dangerous for us, and we will not be back to this KOA.

First time here. We've been boondocking and will be for the next 10 days so we wanted a stop to do laundry and get a decent shower. Which we did. But that is about all the place is worth. Over half the park is permanent and seasonal residents. Only a small portion is open for short term travelers. Like many KOA's, they get a big influx of guests starting at noon and who are all gone the next morning. Ladies in the office were friendly and helpful. Strange, I heard them tell the guest in front of me that their computer picks the sites for guests and if they wanted to pick their own site that there was an additional charge. They have a small store where as expected things are overpriced, but they have stuff you might need to make dinner or fix your trailer. Got escorted to my site, guy was super nice. There is a pool that is clean. Laundry room is clean, machines working. Showers were good. There is a recreation room but you have to go up to the office to ask to be let in, they said they were having too many kids hanging out in it. A couple of the roads are asphalt, most of the roads and all the sites are gravel. Sites are very close together. Water connection is really far back, could not connect to it. Had to put my slides in to get past the electrical monument so I could fill my fresh water tank. Site was short, had to disconnect. So we took advantage and went to In-n-Out for dinner! Park is on a corner of a busy intersection, vroom vroom cars, sirens, horns. Park is very unsafe, no gate, no security guard. I consider $70 (with my KOA discount) for a basic site to be overpriced. We camped at Mesa / Apache Junction KOA Journey in a Fifth Wheel.

the worst rv park i stayed at in the whole United States. this park was dirty not well kept or clean for the price you pay. the staff are absolutely horrible they hate there lives so they take it out on you and treat you very poorly even if you treat them with kindness. I never had a worse experience ever before this park. I'd rather sleep in a dumpster then stay at this park again because how filthy it was also how terrible the staff was I was extremely shocked I called corprate to investigate the staff that they chose at this location because how awful they were bullying and picking on people I felt like I was in high school. They were unprofessional and not mature at all. I'm very shocked at this campground I wouldn't suggest anyone to stay here. Every campground has staff with golf carts, but at this campground specifically they stalk you and they watch you to the point they make you feel very uncomfortable. I was scared and didn’t feel safe at this park
