Rooms were clean and comfortable. I keep giving 5 stars for Rooms, Service and Location but it is not posting them. Came here to spend Christmas Day viewing the Grand Canyon. I wasn't disappointed. The roads around to different points are well marked and paved. The walk to different views from different parking lots were for the most part easy to make with some resting needed for me. I will likely go back for another time of year. Great place.

They should really consider changing the name from "Lodge" to something else. It felt more like a Motel 6 than a lodge. Regardless, we weren't planning on spending time in the room so it was adequate. We stood in line way too long to check in at about 10 am. The hours of the coffee shop were way to short and they don't open early enough. The coffee machine in the room didn't work. I notified a staff member and she said "OK" but did nothing about it. My wife bought a shirt in the gift shop. It turned out to be too small so she went back in just about an hour later to exchange it for the next size up and the lady working the gift shop really gave us attitude about it. Lastly, I was under the impression that I was given the best rate available, yet when I got on their website the day we checked in I found out I could have gotten the room for $100 less. This was an exploratory trip to plan for a longer family vacation. We will definitely not be staying at the Yavapai. On a positive note, the bed was clean and comfortable.

Good for the price but small changes could make it much better. No wifi.... Really? Hair in the bathroom when we arrived. Sheets around the duvet instead of a duvet cover. You do not want to look at the duvet itself, stained and disgusting. No housekeeping, not even an option to get more coffee. No microwave. Also the place is very badly lit, good luck finding your room in the dark. Saw so many u-turns and 3 point turns because no one can see anything. Even to just light up the main building signs that says what room numbers reside there.

You are close to everything. Staff was mediocre. It's November though - the end of tourist season so I'm sure they are all over it.

This has been the worst hotel room we stayed in in a very long time. The room was very old, very small and so was the furnishing. Bathroom is so small that you cannot store anything in there. Bathroom door looked itself from the outside and we needed security in the middle of the night to open it. Coffee maker did not work. I cannot recommend this lodge for an overnight stay to anyone.

Yavapai Lodge is an excellent place to stay if you’re visiting the Grand Canyon! The location is unbeatable—right inside the park, making it easy to explore at any time, even at night. The nearby general store is super convenient for grabbing essentials, and the lodge has all the amenities you might need.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try the cafeteria, but the prices seemed reasonable. The vibe of staying inside the park is truly special—it’s peaceful, and you feel immersed in nature. Highly recommend this lodge for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay at the Grand Canyon!

this wasn't what I expected in that it was not within easy walking distance of the Grand Canyon. So that may have colored my rating of the hotel a little bit. I had hoped to set up by the Grand Canyon until dark and then go to the hotel, but it's either required a car or a bus ride. And the buses were crowded, and since it was November I don't think it would have been doable for me in season. However I must say that the handicap room was one of the better ones I've ever had. I had a handicapped room which actually had handicap doors, space to hang clothes at half height, and room to maneuver. I still think it was a bit of a walk for someone who was using a walker, although someone with a wheelchair would be okay. However it did have a tub and not a roll-in shower. They did have a shower chair. The room was satisfactory, but it was kind of like being at an old camp, as the buildings for that far from the road, dark, and surrounded by trees. I personally would not stay here again simply because it was not close enough to the canyon, and I'm getting old enough that the extra steps have become challenging for me. However if I was a young 20 , or not dealing with the physical limitations of an older body, it would have been great. We were disappointed that there was no freezer in the fridge to refreeze our ice packs, and that there was no microwave Which had us leaving the park to get a hot meal that was physically accessible.

Great location but not worth the location convenience. First room was very dirty with bugs and finger nails and dirty linens. Ceiling was paper thin and could hear anybody walking anywhere near above our room. We got moved to an upper floor room for the second night and it was nicer but we only got a couple $3 coffee vouchers for the horrible first night experience. Book with caution.

Very close to everything for Grand Canyon. There is a grocery store nearby. The restaurant dining hall is also very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There were few people when we went, but the walls did not seem very soundproof. Moreover, there is no wifi in the rooms, which was a surprise. Other than that, i would recommend.
