Review also posted on Yelp ||Hacienda Del Sol is proof that you don't have to go all grey, clinical, and trendy to do well. Oh, did they ever do well! Personality, charm, and substance is what my two-night stay was about.||The property... oh, the property. What a beaut! I'm from the area, so while I had not ever spent the night, I had certainly visited, and have always thought the environment was beautiful. There's two nice courtyards to choose from--one is more desert-y, and the other, more grassy--both are amazing. Unfortunately, the weather was cold and windy, with grey, cloudy skies, so I could not take full advantage of the grounds. I did spend some time in the beautiful, quaint lobby near the wood-burning fireplace. ||I booked a Sonoran king room (their newer rooms), and was placed in building K, room 605, with a nice view of the Rincons, desert, city lights, and nice homes nearby. The first thing I noticed was that there was a great attention to detail, not only when it came to interior design, but also functionality. There was a neat little shelf in the entry to put keys and wallets, dresser was located in the large walk-in closet, lamps all were equipped with dimmers, all light switches were located next to bed, charger ports were easy to access from nightstand, room had a ceiling fan and air vents could be set to move on their own automatically. Bed was firm, though very comfortable. TV channel lineup choice was well above-average, but was shocked to see no option to view the bill on the TV, streaming services, or in-theater movies. Wi-fi reception wasn't the greatest. Bathroom was generous, stylish, colorful, and had great-smelling bath products and fluffy towels. Only gripe with bathroom was that the toilet had a weak flush, shower stream was on the weaker side, and hot water could have been hotter. Overall, they really knocked it out of the park with the room.||Dining... one of the main things this resort is known for. Yum!!! I ordered room service both nights I was there, and it was always on time and delicious. That salmon and gnocchi dish was to die for. I don't get where the food complaints I was seeing were coming from. ||Service was satisfactory. Front desk personnel had great knowledge about the facility and were very informative. Check-in area was cramped, though with two small desks the size of a restaurant hostess stand with an agent staffing each one. Needless to say, check-in did get backed-up and lengthy. Staff members encountered while walking through the property seemed happy to be there, and would greet you.||I am already looking forward to my next visit.

During our hotel stay every staff member was friendly, courteous, accommodating, and professional. Even while just walking around the property the staff would smile, say hello, and make you feel comfortable. The view from our room was gorgeous and the sunsets from the pool were absolutely stunning. The pools are perfectly heated along with a very relaxing hot tub. The room service was quick and reasonably priced, in addition to having a good variety of snack, drink, and meal options. We certainly plan on visiting here again the next time we're in town.

The rooms are spacious and lovely. We had a great balcony view facing east. Beware of blinding sunrises. Lol. We recommend using one of the hangers with clips to secure the curtains closed. The only issue we experienced was a less than adequate shower head. And although open air showers are beautiful they do absolutely nothing for keeping the heat in. Our room was right next to a pool and hot tub which are perfect for relaxing after a full day of hiking. We did not use the gym below our room but it did seem extremely small for this quality resort. We participated in a wine dinner which delivered the most incredible food we have experienced for an event. Well done Chef Delgado and team! If the food from that event is indicative of the quality of the food every other night it is a restaurant not to be missed. I’d be interested in returning and visiting the spa. Additionally, we loved the history that the resort shares throughout the property. From plaques and stories, to an old library just off the lobby.

A fabulous place to stay with magnificent views of the Catalina Foothills. Amazing wildlife around especially birds in the pristine gardens. We even saw a Bobcat wandering past the window at breakfast. Our room was spacious with patio's to front and back. Very clean, comfortable beds/pillows, and a kettle provided. Good menu's in both restaurants and great bar service too. A special mention to Able one of the valets, he was very friendly and had helpful suggestions. Also Austin in the Terraza, who gave us advice for our visit to Mount Lemmon. A fabulous stay in a fabulous place.

Same as others’ experiences- if this were $200/night would be lovely. We were in a ground floor room in the 400s- with the patio door open constant road noise. Once someone checked in to the room above ours it was untenable and we left early to stay elsewhere. It sounded like someone else was in the room with us- EVERY footstep, drawer opening and closing. As noted by others front desk useless- once reservations phoned me they were no help so we ate the $50 early checkout fee. Even during gem show and Valentine’s Day found a nice hotel for half the price last minute. Must have been lovely here back in the day but housing developments are right up to the property now and road has constant traffic. Finally, was awakened at 1:30am one night by 5 gunshots nearby- I think someone was driving along shooting as I heard more shots a minute later in the distance.

This is our first stay in Tucson, Arizona. We absolutely love the Hacienda del Sol! It feels like an authentic desert oasis. The staff and accommodations are exceptional. We came to visit the Saguaro National Park and the hotel is in a great location for easy access.

We have stayed at the Hacienda Del Sol many times, and just returned from a trip this week. The grounds are simply amazing with desert plantings and beautiful art! The rooms are very nice, with a comfortable chair, beautiful views, very nice and spacious bathroom. There are 3 pools, each with a different feel as well as several public places to sit and enjoy the environment. The staff is welcoming, and servers at the restaurant remember us!

Horrible food and service. Such a beautiful setting. The restaurant manager who over saw the $95/person buffet could care less about presentation, food quality or training staff on presentation and knowledge of menu. No one tended the area. Serving spoons glopped with stale food, a tong was provided to serve peach cobbler. Piano music too lous, reservation was made weeks ahead of time. We called ahead to confirm our 6:15 reservation we also confirmed on line. They said it was for 5:15. We said find and arrived at that time. We were given a table by a screen and service area, we then said we'd wait for a different table we had requested to be away from a service area and your window. Understood nothing can be guaranteed however we did have a reservation and we're flexible with their change in time from our original reservation. They then set us in a corner with a plastic blind that was open and it was very cold. We will not be returning.
