Definitely not what was expected with the Hilton name attached. The location on the beach was good, but for the normal price of a room it was not worth it. If you choose to stay here, do not pay full price, look for a discount through other sites. We have stayed in several hotels around the Gulf with about the same discounted price that offered a complimentary breakfast. While the Garden Inn offered a buffet breakfast for $18 a person, I have seen better complimentary buffets at cheaper hotels. Our room had rust stains on the wall from leaky pipes and in the bathroom around the tub. The lamp shades were dated and rusty. The mattresses were very worn. The carpet was extremely dated (carpet in beach front hotel?). I know people travel with pets. I wish it had been a little more obvious they were pet friendly. I have allergies to dogs so I spent the days we were there clogged up. It was nice they had covered parking, though it was small and not many spots. It was also nice they had an EV charger when you could get it. Multiple times non EV cars were parked in the spots.

The hotel room was very roomy and clean however when I first walked in I was very nauseated by the smell of bleach. The decor in the rooms were strange and did not match and that kind of weirded me out a little bit. The bathroom is teeny tiny. It was nice having a little patio but it looked directly at the hotel next door. We had fun. It has its own private beach. The snack was really handy but there was no room service.

Deceiving when booking. I booked an ocean view room, which was supposed to be beach side, not pool side. As a travel agent, this hotel will not be one I will book my clients due to the deception of your pics of the room. I would not have happy clients right now as I am! The front desk said "Sorry." If you really want an ocean view, you need to book an oceanfront room. I thought the oceanfront rooms were the ground level- walk out on the beach, like the pics and descriptions said. This is definitely not worth the value!!
Now that we have stayed one night, there are roaches and the tub doesn't drain. See the pics and video attached. The restaurant is NOT open for lunch. Check hours each day near the bar as they change, but not as advertised!

First off, let me say that the staff at this hotel were very nice and accommodating. If it wasn’t for that, I would give a lower rating. This hotel is not a Hilton in terms of nicer Hilton Hotels. It needs updating and repairs. The furniture in our room was old and the walls and doors were scuffed and dinged. The worst part was a bad smell. It could be because they allow pets, lesson learned here, I won’t stay in a place that allows pets again. The pool is small and the hotel overall has an odor. When we complained about the odor, the maintenance person was at our door right away. Again, the staff is nice. The beach is right out the door and its was great. We had the breakfast bar and it was ok. I won’t be back to this hotel.

The staff were excellent and very friendly. Although the rooms were not dirty, they definitely need updated. I was traveling with a small dog (Havanese) and seemed to assigned a room that guests with pets stay in; hence the dug up carpet and pet odor. I didn’t sleep well because someone decided to leave their dog in the room from 10:30PM until 1:30AM, and the dog barked the entire time. Maybe going forward, dogs should not be left in rooms alone. I didn’t leave mine alone. That might be hotel policy as well and these guests chose to ignore it. I didn’t try the breakfast, but it looked good and smelled wonderful. I recommend this hotel if you are traveling to the beach with small dogs, but please be considerate to other guests when traveling with your dogs. Again, the staff were excellent.

There was a lot of good.

The room is excellent and clean, the hotel offers fun games for kids, a store, and a good location.

We had two issues:
The breakfast staff on Sunday morning was incredibly rude, mocking me, and served warm OJ and warm cut fruit. I was shocked that such a great facility had such rude serving staff who merely offered some ice for the OJ and blaming the flavor on pulp. I drink pulp, the OJ was not good. The watermelon was warm and salty

Second night- power outage. At first it was explained as a transformer, then it was related to circuits. Not sure, but it was horrible for about 2 hours around 2am.

However, the house keeping staff were kind and on point! They brought a new towel up and it was warm. Always smiling in the halls and friendly. The tub, although very old, was surprisingly spotless, which is hard to find on the beach in a high turnover place. The halls were dirty but I'm less worried about that because the room was sparkling clean and fresh and that's what matters.

This was supposed to be a romantic and stress free weekend away, it did have it's ups and downs, but overall was a good experience. We spoke to the front desk on our last day and they were super kind and apologetic.

There for anniversary, pool/ ocean view were really nice, staff was great, manager was very accommodating and wonderful, however the hotel was not!!!! I checked out immediately! In serious need of an overhaul! Hilton should be ashamed. The smell in the halls was awful. The furnishings were damaged & the rooms were extremely outdated. I will not book again unless there is a remodel. Too expensive for what they offer.

We just attended a family reunion at the Hilton Garden Inn. I have positive and negative reviews concerning our experience. We enjoyed the location, ease of access to beach and the staff was very friendly and kind. The rooms were lacking. We had a suite that was large in size but our children's room had a funny smell that would not go away. The decor is definitely in need of an update in the rooms. The King bedroom was a very nice size and the bathroom was well done and clean. The rooms were also very cold which we appreciated. My complaint is that we negotiated a meeting room which we really only used for about 3 hours or so during the day and paid $500 plus fees. The fees were incredibly exorbitant. Over $150 in fees alone on top of the $500 rate.
