When we arrived the room smelled extremely moldy and wet. We couldn’t even be in the room breathing in the smell.

We immediately tell the front desk that we need a new room. She said they’re sold out and the stinky room is the only one they have.

They offered a refund and they said they would recommend a hotel with availability because at this point it’s 1am. She sends me to the comfort inn where the lady immediately told us there’s no rooms there either and was so rude.

So now I’m calling all around myself having to get a new room at a different hotel at 2am. Terrible experience.

The room was nice though the thermostat maxed out at low 70s so grandpa was cold and the bathroom sink wasn’t cleaned and the kitchen didn’t have utensils or paper towels, and there was no coffee in the room but there was in the lobby. Otherwise, the beds were soft, breakfast was great, perfect location, and helpful staff. Also parking can be difficult if you get there too late due to tractor/trailer parking.

The hotel is clean and nicely appointed. The service was just fine. The TV channel selection was pretty funny. 3/4 of the channels were either infomercials or religious in nature. I could live with that. What I wanted was a good night's sleep and a leisurely breakfast before heading home. Went to bed at 11:30. By 3:15, my back just couldn't take it any more. The mattress was way too firm. My back, hips and shoulders were aching. By far the most uncomfortable bed I've slept on in years.
I left at 3:30 and slept in my own bed. Not the experience I had hoped for.

What Was Good:
The bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep.

Room for Improvement:
Move the outdoor smoking area away from the front door. Some guy was there smoking heavily upon arrival, and gawking. Gave a creepy feel.
Cleanliness: The bathroom fan was in poor condition, which detracted from the overall cleanliness of the space. Additionally, the bench in the room was covered in food crumbs.
Fitness Room: The fitness facility had a musty odor and lacked windows, including on the door, creating an uninviting and potentially unsafe environment.
Amenities: Only one bar of soap was provided for both the sink and shower, which felt insufficient.
Breakfast: The breakfast options were heavily processed, including breads, yogurt, cereal, waffles, and condiments. While the potatoes and sausage patties were acceptable, the eggs appeared unappetizing and discouraged me from trying them.
Location:
The hotel is only walkable to a nearby Loves convenience store. Shopping options are approximately 1.5 miles away, which contradicts claims on TripAdvisor about its proximity to key locations.

Overall Impression:
I’d advise caution when relying on overly positive reviews, as they do not align with my experience. This stay left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness, amenities, and overall quality.

This place needs help. If you choose to stay here, bring your cleaning supplies and kitchen supplies.

Pros: Comfortable regular beds. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Working elevators. Good breakfast. Kitchenettes in the suites.

Cons: Vacuuming job in the rooms is terrible. This place either needs better functioning vacuums and/or better training for cleaning staff on how to use them. All the rooms we were in had stuff left on the carpet. A hair tie that wasn't mine and a little jewelry bobble were left on the room floors, which tells me the cleaning isn't very thorough.

Couch bed mattresses were awful. The springs were digging into my son's backs.

Maintenance needs improvement: the last room we were in, the bathroom sink drain was slow. The light in the microwave above the cooktop was out. We had to bring the working office chair from the room we were transferred from because the chair in the new room wasn't working. The door lock wouldn't engage in our second room, so we had to be transferred to another room.

Kitchenettes are not stocked. They have pots and pans. Scratched non-stick frying pans. But no non stick spatula. Is there any inventory taken or a check out system for the kitchen items? There were no cooking utensils. I had to borrow a spatula to cook some eggs. The third room we were in had a mug and a wine glass, which was a step above the second room we were in. No eating utensils, no plates or bowls. No cups. No strainers/colanders.

Shower stalls need to be replaced so that the person doesn't get blasted by cold water when they turn on the water. I feel sorry for vertically challenged people who cannot reach the shower head to adjust it so they don't get sprayed right away.

"Heated" indoor pool was cold. No pool towels when we were there. They got new pool towels the next day, but we didn't bother going again because the pool was cold and over chlorinated. Our legs were itching from the water.

People like to smoke right outside the side doors, which is annoying.

Windows should be replaced so that some fresh air can be let in. The air quality in the rooms was not healthy. My son was very sick on our last night and the low-quality or non- functioning bathroom fans were not helping him.

If corporate is reading this review, please help this location out. It needs it. Best Western used to be a good reliable lodging place. Not so much anymore.

One of the front desk ladies said she'd give us a discount, but it was not reflected on the final receipt. 🫤

This is a nice place. The rooms are a good size. My reason for the low star review is that I was overcharged twice and it took a few weeks to receive it back. The manager did call me and apologized for the mistakes.
The first time is a mistake, the second time is personal. Everyone's experience is different. Mine just was not good. In the end I received a refund.

Right off the freeway, great location. Near restaurants. Fabulous room. I should have taken pictures. Separate kitchen with table and chairs. Big sleeping area with desk and couch. Full size bathroom. All the amenities. Husband had a great breakfast, served till 9am. Great stay. Will definitely choose this hotel again in our travels.

We have stayed here before and had a good experience. This time it was disgusting. The room was filthy, the floors had old food dried on it and crumbs, the chair was greasy, the bathroom had a terrible odor. I had to clean the toilet seat when we got into the room. The dishwasher was full of dishes. On top of that the pool was out of order and the treadmill was out of order. When I went into the excercise room, there were dirty cups and old cup o noodles on one of the machines.
