Do not stay here. Don’t get my wrong the units are nice. Just don’t stay here for other reasons.

1. Sonder does not provide on-site service or support for folks. They have issues with their key pads and their chat support are horrible with providing timing. You wait forever for someone to come help you with let’s say your keypad malfunctions or you accidentally leave your phone in the unit and you don’t know the key pad code.

2. Windows are paper thing and they expect people to sleep with earplugs in their ears. What if you can’t sleep with things in your ears? It’s now 5:50AM and there is some drilling outside my window until after 6AM. In addition you can hear people hooping and hollering as well.

3. They say their pricing is dynamic. Yet when you book if you want to extend I can promise you their pricing becomes non-dynamic, they will be 30-40% above market pricing. It’s a rip-off.

NOISY! Nice room, but right next to a venue with LOUD live music until 2am. Walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors loud and clear. Do not recommend due to that. Otherwise, nearby popular cities and central location.

Cool and modern hotel with easy access. All the rooms are built in shipping containers and designed very well. However, i cant believe they would build such a nice place without putting insulation between the walls and outer walls as it was very noisy trying to sleep, and its not even a busy block. They provided white noise machine to sleep thru it so it wasnt issue for me but i can see other getting frustrated about this. Otherwise the service by Sonder was quick and response and i reccomend

We were extremely disappointed with this booking through Expedia. The property was nothing like we expected. The building looked like an unfinished construction site, with no front desk to assist guests. Check-in instructions had to be accessed through their app, and if you missed the email, there were no alternative instructions—not on the gate, elevator, or anywhere else (last day we took elevator and saw a small note with a QR code for check in instruction). While part of this was our fault for not checking our email for the check-in instructions earlier, we had already verified our ID and face during booking (which felt unnecessary at the time but clearly explained the lack of a front desk). If I wanted to deal with gate codes and door codes, I would’ve just booked an Airbnb!

Thankfully, the housekeeping staff who couldn’t speak English and happened to be on-site and helped us get in. We ran around the building clueless, expecting to find someone at a desk. Eventually, I checked my email and app, then called the property. Luckily, someone answered. We can’t imagine what would’ve happened if we had arrived late at night without assistance.

The frustration didn’t end there. After going out and returning, I realized I’d forgotten to take a picture of our room code. I had to dig through my email and app again just to get back inside. This is not what we expected to deal with during our vacation, especially considering how much we paid.

The surrounding area was incredibly noisy, and the building’s walls were paper-thin. We could hear everything—people walking, conversations in other units, and more. Even basic amenities like toilet paper and paper towels were of very poor quality.

We booked what we thought was a hotel, but it turned out to be a non-serviced apartment—something we weren’t informed about beforehand. For $150 per night in Phoenix (and rates as high as $200+ on some nights), this was absolutely not worth the cost. If you’re specifically looking for an apartment rental, it might work for you, but at this price, there are far better options available.

To make matters worse, I had a cold during our stay and ran out of tissues, and even salt. Since this was a non-serviced property, we had to go out and buy everything ourselves, which was both inconvenient and frustrating.

The parking situation was also poorly communicated. There’s no designated parking, so we had to feed the meter, which we could fortunately do from our phones, but it was still inconvenient.

The building layout added to our frustrations. Our room was on the second floor, so we had to use the stairs, as the elevator was inconveniently located on the opposite side of the building. After a long day, all we wanted was a bit of convenience, but instead, the setup made everything more difficult. One night, we parked on the far side of the building, only to find out that the key pass on that side didn’t work. To make things worse, it was an extremely windy night, with dust blowing everywhere, and we had to walk around the entire building to get inside.

We don’t want to hurt the business because the room itself was clean and might suit others’ needs. However, this was not the experience we were expecting or looking for. We would never stay here again and are deeply disappointed that Expedia listed this property as a hotel. Beware before booking!

The location was great as it was in walking distance to restaurants and bars. The room was clean aside from some of the light switches. Other than that, I also liked the self service check in/out. I would recommend to family and friends!

Room is cool, spot in city is cool, but if you're here on the weekends, bring noise cancelling headphones. It's in party central, you will have loud music and drunk guests outside until the morning.
