If I could eat at Gogi Asian Cuisine every day, I absolutely would! The portions are unbelievably generous, and everything is so fresh and flavorful. I had the kimbap, the hot stone bibimbap, and the chicken katsu bento box, and every bite was amazing.

This is the kind of place that makes you look for excuses to be in the area just so you can stop by again. Whether it’s lunch or dinner, nobody would ever complain about landing here—it’s that good.

The service was fast and attentive, even with how busy it was. They clearly know how to keep things running smoothly while maintaining quality and care in every dish. Honestly, I would’ve ordered more just to try more of their menu, but I was completely stuffed!

If you’re anywhere near this spot, do yourself a favor and make Gogi your next meal destination. You won’t regret it!

I absolutely recommend checking this spot out. The food is so delicious. It's a walk-up and order spot. My favorite thing is the bulgogi beef hot stone. They put all of the cooked ingredients separated in a hot stone bowl and top it with an over easy egg. Once you get it, you use your fork and spoon to mix everything together, and the heat from the hit stone cooks the egg further scambling it, so it's a little bit of an experience, too.

WOW, what an absolute hidden gem. This place blew us away, we were disappointed initially when we arrived and saw it was a counter-service restaurant, but the younger guy working the front was super helpful and friendly.

Ordered a few dishes that sounded good (with his help) and a few Korean classics we knew we liked. My wife and I eat a TON of Korean food, so we've had everything from good, to bad, to great, and Gogi is great. Their tofu soup, the soon tofu is maybe my favorite I've ever had, I just wish it was spicy, even if just a bit.

We also ordered Tteokbokki, spicy pork belly, and the sweet and spicy wings, and about 3/4 of the way through our meal we thought about it and said "Not one thing has just been 'okay' or mediocre. Literally all four dishes are delicious." The teokbokki is perfect, just the right level of spiciness and comes with a hard boiled egg. The sweet and spicy wings were crunchy and slathered in sauce on the outside, but hot, tender, and juicy inside. All four dishes came out PIPING hot, which is the best way to eat soon tofu and wings especially. Be forewarned, however, I tried ONE dab of the extra spicy wings and they are *brutal*, and I can occasionally stomach the 2X Hot Bul Dak ramen.

All told, everything you see in the picture together was about $52.

It's almost a bummer that this hidden gem is just sitting in a shopping plaza outside of a theatre with a million other restaurants around. I wish there were something this good in the West Valley; we'd be there every week. No complaints at all, highly recommend it.

This is a smaller version of the main one in Tempe, but they have something the other location doesn't- tangsuyuk!!!! I went crazy when I saw it on the menu, so I had to re-live a moment of Korean fast food with my husband. We shared an order of tangsuyuk, jjajjangmyun, korean fried chicken, and of course, a halasan soju.
I want to quickly comment, because my kids have ordered the ramen here before- it's exactly what a Korean ramen tastes like. Do not confuse this with a Japanese style ramen, expect the out of a square packet style noodle.

Spicy Squid & Pork is really tasty.

Gochujang sauce (red pepper paste)
harmonized with Squid & Pork.

Ingredient quality is good.

As a Korean, I look for places that taste like what I’m used to. This is it, for me. They are one of the few places that will make Gimbap, a Korean delicacy. It’s rare because it’s so labor intensive to make. Do yourself a favor and try the bulgogi Gimbap. Bulgogi, rice, carrots, egg, Korean radish for crunch and texture. Then they finish it right with sesame oil and sesame seed, and frankly, an absolutely steal for the size of the roll you get for just $9.99.

Dining in was fine, but when it comes to takeaway, there were significant issues. I experienced severe food poisoning – the beef was spoiled, emitting a sour and foul odor, and the side dishes had a moldy taste. I will never choose their takeaway service again.
