Amazing grounds! The resort seems to be well-run, in general.

Here are key areas for improvement:

- The resort has a lot of potential beyond golf, especially when it comes to the swimming pools, which are softly speaking underwhelming. With your grounds, you can have an amazing swimming pool set up and attract a broader audience.
- Add a proper large coffee shop with a great espresso maker as well as non-coffee drinks selection
- Improve dining options, menu, service quality according to customer feedback, which does not look great and encouraged us to dine outside of the resort

I’m honestly not sure what all these complaints are about. I booked this hotel and started to get nervous reading all the reviews. The negative ones were dead wrong. Is it a perfect resort? No, but it’s awesome and super unique and that’s what my wife and I were looking for. Experience the desert (we saw so much wild life on our walks), the pool is lovely, they have trails up around the boulders, and you are super close to lots of shops and such. The spa is also amazing (albeit expensive), take advantage of the steam room, sauna, hot tub, and the quiet pool while you are there. I really great experience…. Also our sliding door did fall off so the reviews were right about that 😂😂

Super disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel. Everything was fine, but the resort lacks attention to detail and a luxury feel. For the cost, I definitely expected more.

PROS:
-Relaxing atmosphere in natural desert landscape
-Rooms have comfy beds and wood burning fireplace
-Onsite golf course, spa, pools, restaurants

CONS:
-Spa pool is right off a main road so there's always traffic noise
-Rooms had bare minimum amenities
-Cars must be parked in one lot, which may not be close to your room. Included in the stay is a 24-hour golf cart service to take you/your luggage anywhere on property but not great in wind/rain, especially if you're pregnant, elderly, or simply don't want your freshly styled hair messed up before heading out to dinner

Outstanding experience, loved our stay there. Very nice location, excellent staff, everyone one there was committed to doing their best to make sure our stay was comfortable. We had some issues with our room, Judy and Shanice promptly worked to move us in a much bigger accommodation which made our stay unforgettable.

I hate to do this, but it has to be shared. What a terribly run facility. First of all, the room is not maintained. The screens on the sliding door were not attached- just laying against the outside wall! There was no trash can in the bathroom- what the heck? The hot water takes about five minutes to get warm- why? In the desert, the water is the resource that's needed to be saved. Why not install on demand systems into each room? It would be an investment that's paid off within a year, let alone the water savings alone. The bathrooms have paper thin walls, and so don't expect any privacy. The toilet seat is not even a soft close! There are people standing around, and yet none of these minor repairs are done. Those soft close toilet seats cost about $20!!! That one breakfast and it's paid for. The restaurant is sparse and has bad, and expensive, breakfast selections. Who puts sweet potatoes inside a breakfast burrito? I just can't figure out how this place deems itself a resort.

I first, the upside is that the resort is located in a very nice area of Scottsdale. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Upon arrival the valet is easy and accommodating. However, the lobby is uninspiring, the staff working at the front desk were in street clothes that looked like they bought them from target. The bar adjacent to the lobby at first glance is impressive and comfortable. The main pool off the lobby is very underwhelming. There’s no shade, and it doesn’t look anything like in the pictures on the webpage. If you’re looking for an experience with family time in a pool, this is not the place to go.

We stayed in the private condominiums. The condominiums were actually quite nice and well appointed. However, they are significant distance away from the main lobby. Way too far to walk In order to make the trek, the resort shuttle is an old dilapidated van that looks like it belongs to the cleaning crew. Frankly, it was embarrassing to be seen in it.

Overall, we were quite disappointed in the resort. For the price I would highly recommend going to a Ritz Carlton, or Four Seasons.

Although we (large group) went between Christmas and New Years when it was booked, the resort did not feel crowded. I went with no set expectations because I am not familiar with the Hilton brand. The resort, service, housekeeping, landscaping, cuisine (especially), and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. My only critique is the pool area. Padded cushions on the pool chairs would really elevate the look and experience.

Spent 3 nights at the Boulders Resort in mid December. We stayed in a casita on the grounds. The one we stayed in was on the 1st floor and there was a 2nd level above us. One night there was a late check-in around midnight and we could hear the people wheeling their luggage across the floor and their footsteps. That was the only negative experience we had with the casita. There was a wood burning fireplace and the resort supplied manufactured logs for burning. A log lasted around 2 hours. No cars were allowed on the grounds and if you wanted transportation for meals or to your car you called the bellhop service and a driver in a golf cart would come and pick you up. The main attractions at the resort were a golf course and a spa. We didn't use either of these . Breakfast every day at the Palo Verde was very good. Our server, Paris did an excellent job. She was attentive, courteous and a pleasure to deal with.We ate dinner at Palo Verde one night and at The Grill on another night. The service was great, the atmosphere was great but the meals were disappointing. I had a filet one night and a ribeye the 2nd. The filet had no texture and the ribeye was slightly overdone. The grounds were great, Nature at it's best. Tall Saguaro cacti all over the place and gorgeous rock formations for a background
