Talkeetna Villas exceeded every expectation. I can't think of a single thing I didn't enjoy about my stay here. Travis checked me in and was attentive, thorough, helpful and good natured. I expected rustic accommodations because of the decor, but everything was brand new, super modern, and extremely clean. Plenty of space, fully stocked kitchenette, beautiful bathroom. Great communal fire pit space with a fire upon arrival! Located super convenient to downtown- a 5 minute walk or a 30 second drive. Everything was just really great and staying here enhanced my trip ten fold; I cannot recommend enough. I will certainly be coming back next winter season!!!

I have traveled all over the world, stayed in many hotels and Airbnbs. This place goes to the top of the list. Travis is very responsive to messages, and keeps the property clean. He is a very welcoming host. The room has everything you need, from microwave and hot plate, to fluffy towels and a nice soft bed. At a recommendation I booked a 2 day stay here, and was blown away. When I come back up this way, I will definitely stay here again.

The best thing about our 1 night stay was meeting Travis and his Dad Greg. The passion Travis has for his guests and the property really shows when you have a chance to visit with him. I really appreciated Travis explaining how he built each unit. So much blood sweat and tears have gone into this project. The bed was comfortable and we slept well! There is a fire pit available for guests. Easy walk to town. Definitely stay here if you enjoy hosts who are hands on and knowledgeable about the area.

We had a great experience at the villa |Built by Greg and Travis ,such a cozy place. The area has beautiful flower and vegetables planted around the villas. They host A warm spot by the fire pit at night .|The villa kitchen was well equipped. The coffee was delicious! The bed comfortable . The price is very reasonable and Greg was an excellent host . We appreciated the ride to the train station the rainy morning we left.|Thank you Greg for being a great host

Travis’ incredible hospitality and his striking, cozy, hand-built cedar cabins made our stay in Talkeetna exceptional. From picking us and our bags up at the train station, letting us run a load of laundry, giving us countless local recommendations for restaurants and activities, starting a fire for us to roast s’mores, and advising us on an impromptu midnight northern lights viewing - Travis was the perfect host. Hospitality wasn’t the only thing that shined, though, the cabins were cozily curated with Netflix and board games, guides and books, a stocked kitchenette, and, most importantly during the winter, excellent heating and hot water pressure. Clearly, there was attention in every detail from the slate bathroom accents to the Alaska wildlife decor and hand-done cedar-paneled cabins. I can’t believe we lucked out landing a night with Travis - he’s usually booked, and for good reason. We wish we could’ve stayed longer and can’t wait to return soon!

Seriously, this is a neat unique place that has super well-done rooms, a host that is over the top and Johnny on the spot at all times. The location is perfect. Just down the road from the town. Surrounded by four small cabins surrounded by central fire pit that all the guests enjoy after dinner. The host, Travis is an exceptional at all travel accommodations and knowledge of the area is exceptional. We truly can’t wait to come back and we highly suggest you stay there too. .

Stories, galore, guides to help, and just a good time. |We were most impressed with the location, as it was only 100 yards from the main street. A perfect location. |Can’t wait to go back again.

Great host. The owner Travis is very hospitable. He wants to make sure your stay is wonderful. The facilities are very clean, comfortable, close to town, warm and cozy. He has an outdoor BBQ area and fire lounge. We enjoyed chatting with him and other guest around a warm fire pit while we drank Alaskan spirits. Come and enjoy Talkeetna, walk through town, enjoy various activities including jetboat rides or flights to Denali.
