Excellent coffee & the Redoubt Reindeer Burrito was packed with flavor. House made coffee syrups & salsa make this place stand out that much more. Easy going friendly vibe.

Bema Cafe consistently delivers high quality service, burritos, and cafe. They are attentive to detail and friendly, even when the line is out the door. Their O’Malley Maple breakfast burrito always hits the spot after a morning yoga session.

The coffee is fantastic, the venue is perfect, and the food is pretty good. We used to frequent this place when it was Uncle Leroy’s and the new owners have updated the venue nicely, improved the lighting, updated the seating (now big long communal tables), and expanded the menu. They still have solid WiFi is you’re a cafe remote worker (like I am) which makes it an indispensable stop during your work day. I look forward to seeing them expand their menu offerings and will be sure to come back often.

Best coffee in town! Expertly roasted, they really know their coffee. Housemade syrups if you’re feeling sweet & delicious burritos if you’re hungry. The baristas are all wonderful- super friendly & very knowledgeable in their craft! Cannot recommend them enough.

Coffee and Burritos are great but they have no WiFi! I was all ready for work and I love the salad next door but man!! No WiFi, in 2024.

Been experiencing Anchorage’s coffee scene for over a decade now and am convinced that this is indeed the best coffee in town. Possibly one of the best roasters in the state, if not the best. If you haven’t been by yet you’re missing out- and you might need to change your daily coffee habit to make a stop at the Bema cafe 😋

Potentially the best coffee in Alaska is served here but the atmosphere is "come and go" which mirror the owners (Sweet Caribou) focus.

The Sweet Caribou Kitchen creates the bake goods, burritos, and the coffee syrups. The syrups are produced with the same ingredients used in their macarons.

Service is knowledgeable about coffees presented and knows their regulars by name.

While many people do hang out in Bema Cafe it is not the cozy traditional coffee shop atmosphere. Instead there is a bright Alaskana mural with a few tables and Wi-Fi is not currently offered. Definitely aimed at the "come and go" crowd which is inline with Sweet Caribou.

The pour over bar uses a two water temperature method and the water mineral chemistry is corrected depending on the level of roast.

Bema Coffee Roasters have a unique focus on exploring coffee processed in different ways when green. From traditional methods like natural and washed to newer experiments such as "co-fermenation" Bema excellently presents them in roasted form.

We dropped in for a quick coffee and ended up indulging in two white chocolate mochas, which were incredibly delicious and smooth. The staff, Jarame and Katie, were so friendly and fun that we decided to stay longer and enjoy a homemade burrito named the O'Malley Maple. This delightful burrito was packed with bacon, breakfast sausage, Tabasco maple onion, American and cheddar cheese, potatoes, and scrambled eggs—truly yummy! Jarame also shared that he roasts the coffee on-site, adding a unique touch of smoothness to every cup. Impressed by the quality, we purchased three bags of coffee. I highly recommend visiting for both the excellent food and the warm service. Don’t forget to grab a bag of coffee! The restrooms and dining area were impeccably clean, and the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy.
