Black Cup Café is one of those hidden gems in Anchorage that you might drive past without giving it a second thought—but once you step inside, you realize what you’ve been missing. After living here for five years, I finally gave it a try, and I was pleasantly surprised.

The café itself has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that sets it apart from other coffee shops in town. It’s filled with plants, unique merchandise, and an overall aesthetic that makes you feel at home. The drinks were solid—I had a mocha and an iced coffee, both of which were good, though not necessarily groundbreaking. However, the real highlight for me was the atmosphere, which is easily one of the best in Anchorage.

Grabbed a cappuccino. Above average in Anchorage but didn’t meet the expectation (maybe I expected too high lol). Spacious cafe. Location is good, a few steps away from the biggest REI.

I stumbled across this coffee shop while visiting Alaska. I really enjoyed the third wave vibe and excellent coffees. Also an excellent traditional cappuccino. Not 3 sizes.
The desserts were also excellent. I have made it my morning stop when I am here.

1st time to this coffee shop. I am not impressed with customers' service. When walking up to the counter, the employee just saw me and sauntered over. I did not receive any sort of greeting, and she just waited until I started to place my order. I felt like I was very rushed to place my order it didn't have any time to really look over the menu even though I was the only customer in line. I ordered a flavored coffee, though when receiving it, it did not seem to have any flavor to it. Overall will not be returning to the store.

Long time daily customer of Black Cup.

Solid shop, great variety of options for coffee and food. We've been having some poor experiences as of late but decided to still show the shop to our visiting friends and family this past weekend. I think that was the last visit for us.

Over the last year or more, the customer service side of things has really gone downhill. Generally unfriendly, and it really feels like your causing a great inconvenience by ordering anything at all.

Lots of great places to get coffee in Anchorage, this isn't one of them anymore. Sad to see others commenting the same.

Great coffee place serving barista made coffee. Love their Mocha and they offer almond milk. Good selection of bakery too. Friendly and helpful staff. Wifi available too.
