We loved this place! It was like stepping back in time. A very homey and peaceful place. Quiet no traffic noise. Inn keepers were very friendly and directed us on the best time and place for the aurora. Highly recommend, clean, quiet and friendly staff. It's not the Ritz with glitz and glam, it's a down home country feel with peace and quiet. Close to many restaurants, and not far from North Pole Alaska.

I just enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at the 7 Gables Inn (aka Extended Stay), courtesy of the charming owners! Leicha and her husband are hands-on proprietors and personally look after their guests’s satisfaction. They have a wealth of local resource information, and will help you however they can. If you’re able, stay at the Gables!

The horror house is so filthy I would not even sit in the "fancy" upgraded jacuzzi tub...even after the owner sent up cleaners to release. Blamed yesterday's staff. Breakfast was different, but not a good different.||Access to our room was via a rickety, old fire escape. The room was furnished with an excess hodge podge of mismatched furniture. There was no place to set a suitcase on until we called for one, and then there was no place to put it.

Although it was short the ground beautiful and the owners were pleasant. |Stayed in the studio by the University filled with trails and shopping. |The studio it self was clean, quiet, and relaxing. Definitely interested in staying again while in Fairbanks

So far it has been a scam for me. I paid for a reservation, and I was never able to communicate with them to do the late checking that they said the special request could be made. and now that I arrived at the airport they don't answer me to know if I can go there or not. because even though I have already paid, they may not receive me and I am left doing something outside in the cold of Alaska while I find other accommodation.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Fairbanks and, unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The rooms had a strong, damp smell that made it difficult to breathe comfortably. The property itself is quite old and, sadly, not maintained well. The washroom handle was broken, which added to the overall discomfort. The lack of proper upkeep was evident throughout the stay.

I would strongly recommend checking the property in person before making a booking. This stay was far from the relaxing experience I had hoped for. However, I do give two stars for the customer service provided by the owner's wife. She attended to our calls promptly and offered us a cottage at 2494 Parks Highway, which was about five minutes from the actual property. Her efforts were appreciated, but overall, the stay was disappointing.

(I've generally stopped writing reviews but need this info out there. )|Strange: same place as Abbey Archway (see worrisome reviews).|New sign in front - wonder why? |Pros: good location - residential street, adequate heating, full kitchen looks ok (didn't use), evidence of solar power.|Cons: not clean enough for me (mouth stuff on glass in kitchen cabinet, dirty bathroom floor), strange shower, not really a fireplace as pictured - all electric, entrance run-down and sort of creepy.

Thank you for staying awake for us at 1:40 A.M and having a nice talk about the train ride that we were about to take in a few hours. What a nice way to spend a few quick hours after a twelve hour plane trip.
